Clan MacIntyre - A Photo Tour of Our Ancestral Home
Photos provided by CMA Member Lance Russell, AL

Clan MacIntrye's ancestral home, Glenoe, is located a few miles east of Oban in Argyleshire (Central Highlands) Scotland. As the photos show the area has nice vegetation and displays an air of tranquility. Resting near the foot of the Grampian Mountains and not too far west of Glen Coe, the site of the infamous slaughter of the MacDonald's by the Campbell's.

Clan MacIntyre never owned the land, they lived their on a lease that lasted for several centuries. Historical facts on these matters can be vague, it does appear, that each year they remained on the land, MacIntyre's were required to pay a snowball in June and a white calf in December to Clan Campbell.
